I’m in my 80s, increasingly unsteady, survivor of polio, easily winded, short of tallness, mildly caffeined, and a little decrepit. I shot my first images in 1949. I was a teenager back then. I used a Spartus 620 fism camera manufactured in Chicago, Illinois, and called a Spartus Press Flash. It took Press 40 flashbulbs, which, not having a job, I was hard-pressed to buy. The world I saw back in those days is not the world I see these days. The world I see is illustrated on this website.
